Aftercare in India

Recovery that is planned, not left to chance

After your treatment we arrange where you rest, who checks on you and how you get back on your feet, until your doctor says you are ready to fly home.

What aftercare looks like day to day

Each part is arranged around the plan your surgeon writes, so nothing is guesswork.

  • Regular checks

A doctor reviews you at the bedside on the schedule your surgeon sets and records every change, so problems are caught early.

  • Help when you are resting

Help to sit up, eat and move safely in the first days, at the pace your doctor sets.

  • Physiotherapy

Guided exercises after joint and spine surgery, with a plan to keep going once you are home.

  • Meals that suit your recovery

Freshly cooked food that fits your diet plan and your preferences, including halal and vegetarian.

  • Help getting around

Wheelchairs and an escort between your room, appointments, scans and the car.

Support for you and the person with you

Recovering far from home is easier with familiar company. Your companion is part of the plan from day one.

  • Grab rails by the toilet and in the shower
  • A shower chair and non-slip floors
  • A call button within reach of the bed
  • A 24-hour contact for you and your companion
  • A short drive to your treating hospital

Meals match any restrictions after surgery, such as low salt or soft foods.

  2. Food you know

Halal, vegetarian and familiar options, so eating is one less worry.

  3. Fresh every day

Cooked daily, with fruit and drinks available between meals.

  4. Your companion eats too

Questions about aftercare

Where do I stay after leaving hospital?

Usually in recovery accommodation close to your hospital. Your coordinator agrees the place with you before you travel, based on your treatment and how mobile you will be.

How long will I need to stay in India?

It depends on the treatment. Your surgeon gives an estimate before you travel and confirms when it is safe for you to fly home.

Can someone come with me?

Yes, and for most surgery we recommend it. Your companion can join doctor visits and stay close by.

What happens once I am home?

You leave with a written discharge summary. Follow-up calls with your doctor are arranged, and your coordinator stays in touch.

Is aftercare included in the price?

Your quote lists exactly what is included, such as accommodation, nursing, physiotherapy and meals, before you agree to anything.
